Pet Wellness Exams

Take a preventative approach to your pet’s wellness. A wellness examination is a routine medical check-up of an apparently healthy pet, as opposed to an examination of a pet that is showing signs of illness.

Based on your pet’s history and physical examination, your veterinarian may recommend specific preventive treatments such as vaccination or parasite control (including preventive treatments for fleas, ticks, intestinal parasites, and heartworm); or provide suggestions for nutrition, skin and coat care, weight management, or dental care.

The focus of a wellness visit is maintaining your pet’s optimal health. We strive to build your understanding of our diagnosis and treatment options through visual aids and take-home materials. Where treatment is needed, we inform you of your options so that you may make an informed decision about your family member’s care.
